Garden State Circle was created by Jake and Tiffany Slowinski, the husband-and-wife publishing team behind multiple City Lifestyle publications across New Jersey.
Since 2019, we’ve helped local businesses become better known through print, digital content, events and meaningful community connections.
Garden State Circle brings all of that work together in one place.
We publish local guides that help people find trusted businesses, discover places worth visiting and make better decisions about where to spend their time and money.
Now we’re taking that one step further.
The way people search is changing fast. They’re no longer just scrolling through Google. They’re asking ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI platforms who to hire, where to go and which local businesses they can trust.
Garden State Circle is building the local content behind those answers.
This isn’t a national directory filled by an algorithm.
We live here. We know these communities. We know many of the people behind the businesses. More importantly, we understand what New Jersey residents are actually looking for.
Jake Slowinski
Jake is the publisher, strategist and builder behind Garden State Circle.
Today, he serves as publisher of Bridgewater, Somerset Hills, Greater Long Branch and North Hunterdon City Lifestyle magazines. What began with one local publication has grown into a regional media company reaching some of New Jersey’s most established communities.
Jake leads the research and development behind Garden State Circle’s local guides. His work combines local publishing, technology and a deep understanding of how people decide which businesses to trust.
As AI completely changes the way recommendations are made, Jake is positioning Garden State Circle at the front of that shift. He is building a library of credible local information designed to help both people and AI platforms understand who the real experts are in communities across New Jersey.
He previously served on the board of the Somerset County Business Partnership and earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
Tiffany Slowinski
Tiffany Slowinski has been helping New Jersey families figure out where to go and what to do since 2017, usually with her own family along for the ride.
As co-owner of Garden State Circle and publisher of New Jersey City Lifestyle magazines with her husband, Jake, Tiffany turns local knowledge into stories, experiences and connections. Through Tiffany Knows NJ, she shares the places she’s trying, the weekend plans worth making and a little of the reality of exploring it all with three daughters.
Her publishing career began with Hulafrog Bridgewater, which she launched in June 2017 and led as managing editor through March 2020. Helping parents discover local activities brought her into the businesses and conversations that would shape her next chapter. In 2019, she and Jake launched their first City Lifestyle magazine in their hometown of Bridgewater.
Today, their work spans New Jersey publications, community events and Garden State Circle’s local stories and business guides. At the heart of it is Tiffany’s curiosity about the people behind a business and what makes a place worth sharing.
A former school counselor with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and media studies from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Columbia University, Tiffany has always built her work around people. She is also a member of EO New Jersey. She lives in Bridgewater with Jake and their daughters, Hannah, Charlotte and Violet, who regularly join the adventures and come with opinions of their own.
